First off Impact - Well, this piece got me to click through from the DD thumbnails, and that takes more than just a photograph of a pretty woman, however well composed and lit it is.

Next - Vision and Originality - I'v never seen a costume quite like this in design before, never mind one that's so perfectly custom made for its model that you can almost see her spending months on making every single component and settling them just so.

Finally Technique - If you can't get focus and depth of field right on a static posed shot like this, just give up photography! The thing that's really impressive about this picture is the lighting which manages to appear to be coming from the crystal on her staff, and possibly from another similar source out of frame on her right.

Author's note - If you don't think this critique is fair, please tell me why.

Initially I was captivated by how crisp and regal this photo looks but as I looked at it, her pose seems rather awkward. It does not feel natural. You have done a great job on the lighting and retouching of the photo though, it adds to the mysterious feel of a fantasy world.

The equipment is also very befitting of a blood elf and the details are just simply wow. The design looks simple yet the effort isn't and the amount of minor details matches the whole outlook. I love the circlet especially and the silver hair has a nice flow to it.

Nice makeup and ears; I never liked generic pointy ears but the curves on the ears fits perfectly.

That woman is real? You've gotta be kidding.

Ouch, her neck looks broke.

These hips are obviously photoshopped, seeing that she has an hourglass shape. She's really thin for a person, I guess elves are supposed to be thin like that :)--but I do like this picture. It's a nice composition!

Actually, if you look at the models work, I don't think it's photoshopped. Some people are that thin, even if they eat healthy and regularly. It all depends on what type of body and metabolism you have really.
(I don't want to sound mean, by the way D: You're actually one of the nicer commenters I've seen on something like this)

I think if you look closely enough, her right arm (on your left) is semi-bigger than her left, it's not noticeable at first; it's easy to overlook at. Her body seems a little smaller than her head... but that could be just her hair.
Of course! :) I do know that people can be small like that in life. I'm just skeptical when things come to this; I know that tons of pictures are photoshopped, you just don't know what's real and what isn't.. Maybe it's the model's pose that makes it seem somewhat awkwardly disproportionate? ^^;
I still really like this picture though because of the lighting that is used in this picture. It's unique. The costume's great too.
Thanks for not ripping my head off for my critique by the way.
